Meet Sifu Jeff Patterson

Sifu Jeff Patterson has dedicated the past 36 years to learning martial arts. He has learned from internationally recognized masters from seven different countries, earning the equivalent of black belts in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Eskrima, Tai Chi, Qigong, Muay Thai, and Kenpō.

Over the past 30+ years, Jeff has taught over 25,000 students at his academy, Northwest Fighting Arts in the Pacific Northwest.

As with most serious martial arts practitioners, Jeff sought out information to explain why high-level martial arts are transformative. Soon it became evident that all his instructors and masters incorporated meditative aspects into their training.

Jeff’s strongest passion is linking the benefits of meditative and martial arts together and applying both to broader aspects of life. His passion continues to be driven by witnessing these practices in action.

To this end, Jeff has published three books and produced two audio courses and hundreds of instructional videos.

Jeff is also a US Marine Corps veteran, serving for four years, and he has earned two Bachelor’s Degrees in Business from Portland State University.
